Template — review with counsel before launch. This is reasonable boilerplate tailored to Sonnely, provided to get you started. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed by a lawyer before you rely on it.

Effective January 1, 2026

These Creator Terms apply if you host paid book clubs, run live events, or otherwise earn on Sonnely. They add to — and don’t replace — our main Terms of Service.

1. Becoming a creator

To host paid experiences you must have an account in good standing, agree to these terms, and complete any verification and payout setup we require. You are responsible for the clubs and events you run and for treating your members fairly.

2. Running clubs and events

You decide your reading schedules, discussion topics, and live event format, within these guidelines. You agree to:

  • Describe your club or event accurately, including price, schedule, and what members get.
  • Show up — host the sessions and provide the experience you’ve advertised.
  • Keep your spaces welcoming and follow our community rules and moderation policies.
  • Respect intellectual property — don’t distribute copyrighted books or materials you don’t have the right to share.

3. Earnings and payouts

When members pay for your club or event, Sonnely collects payment, deducts applicable platform fees and payment-processing costs, and pays out your share to your connected payout account. Fees, payout schedules, and minimums are described when you set up earning and may be updated with notice. You are responsible for any taxes on your earnings.

4. Refunds and cancellations

If you cancel an event or fail to deliver what you promised, members may be entitled to a refund under our Payment Terms, which may be deducted from your earnings. We may step in to resolve disputes fairly for both creators and members.

5. Content and conduct

You retain ownership of the original content you create, and you grant Sonnely a license to host and display it as needed to operate and promote your club or event. You must not use Sonnely to harass members, run scams, or promote prohibited content. Serious or repeated violations can end your ability to earn on the platform.

6. Suspension and termination

We may pause payouts or suspend creator features if we detect fraud, chargebacks, policy violations, or risk to members. Where appropriate, we’ll explain why and give you a chance to respond.
